On July 30, 2019, the American Wisconsin Ginseng Council held the American Wisconsin Ginseng Gala Dinner – New Energy in Ben Tre city to bring diners a new and attractive culinary experience.
Guests attending the event had the opportunity to visit the American Wisconsin Ginseng Exhibition, enjoy many Vietnamese dishes and drinks combined with American Wisconsin ginseng such as spring rolls served with American Wisconsin ginseng mayonelisa sauce, BBQ ribs American ginseng, American ginseng stewed corn, American ginseng Ben Tre coconut water, American ginseng seafood soup, American ginseng chicken hot pot. The organizers hope that Wisconsin ginseng has created new flavors for Vietnamese dishes and drinks, bringing diners a new and attractive culinary experience.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Robert Kaldunski – Chairman of the Wisconsin State Ginseng Council USA – pointed out 4 differences of Wisconsin ginseng compared to other ginsengs such as being grown in the shade, only harvested when reaching 4 five years old, grown on newly cleared pristine land and cultivated only once a season, grown according to the standards of the US Food and Drug Administration FDA, Environmental Protection Agency EPA.
The event is part of the US Government’s series of activities to introduce Wisconsin ginseng in Vietnam. Previously, the International Scientific Conference on American Wisconsin Ginseng in Ho Chi Minh City announced two scientific studies including the pharmacological effects of American Wisconsin Ginseng by the Center for Ginseng and Medicinal Plants of Ho Chi Minh City and experimental studies. Clinical trial conducted by Oriental Medicine Association of District 5 (HCMC). Accordingly, Wisconsin ginseng has the effect of increasing resistance, anti-stress, lowering blood sugar, increasing vitality, especially not increasing blood pressure like Asian ginseng.
Currently, American Wisconsin ginseng products are being distributed in the Vietnamese market in the form of whole ginseng, sliced ginseng, ginseng extract, ginseng tablets and ginseng tea.
